  • Designing rectifier PCBs for the FusionPro Intelligent Production Drive on the Artificial Lift Systems team using Altium Designer.
  • Building HIL simulation environments in Typhoon HIL to validate drive firmware under fault conditions before hardware deployment.
  • Developing Python test scripts to automate hardware-in-the-loop validation of production drive control systems.

  • Selected from 7% acceptance pool for UT Austin's Formula SAE Electric team building a fully electric race car.
  • Led full design cycle of 4 Upright Sensor PCBs: schematic capture, 4-layer layout, DRC, and JLCPCB fabrication.
  • Designed 3D-printed Nylon enclosures in Fusion 360 and integrated sensor modules directly onto vehicle uprights.
  • Wrote bare-metal STM32 firmware for Hall-effect wheel speed and IMU data acquisition over CAN at 1 kHz.
  • Routed 180+ meters of wiring across 33 PCBs and connectors using RapidHarness wire harness software.

  • Designed four 4-layer PCBs integrating Hall effect sensors, a 6-axis IMU, and a CAN transceiver on a single MCU.
  • Wrote bare-metal firmware for sensor sampling, CAN message packing, and transmission at 1 kHz.
  • Fabricated and assembled boards, validated with oscilloscope, and integrated onto the race car.

  • Laying out a 4-layer KiCad PCB: STM32G4, dual DRV8302 gate drivers, 12 N-channel MOSFETs, AS5047P magnetic encoders, ICM-42688 IMU, black soldermask ENIG finish.
  • Implementing full FOC from scratch in bare-metal C: Clarke/Park transforms, SVPWM at 20 kHz via hardware timer interrupt, cascaded PID for velocity and current loops.
  • Building complementary filter for roll/pitch estimation and telemetry pipeline (UART → RPi Zero 2W → MQTT → Grafana) to stream phase currents and gimbal state live.
